The Barber’s Writer-in-residence Ms Jacqui Rowe will be leading a workshop “Art & writing: writing the spectrum” .

Taking inspiration from a selection of paintings (including masterpieces by Canaletto and Guardi etc) we’ll be exploring the colours, pigments, lighting and shading, symbolism to inspire new pieces of writing.

It’s a real treat to visit the Barber’s free friday lunch-time concerts. Somehow, I tend to whizz round the galleries quite briskly! But today’s art & writing workshop is day to slow down, learn and write new pieces of writing!
